Attendees should have a good working knowledge and understanding of Social Media Platforms, and who are familiar with its safe use for communications and engagement.
Ideally, attendees will have previously attended the Social Media Foundation Course.
After completing this course, attendees will have a deeper understanding of Social Media and how to increase their effective use of the leading platforms to improve engagement and communications.
This course is available as closed or public course and is available in two core variants; one for Defence and related personnel only and the other for a civilian/mixed audience. The course structure is common for both variants, however for Defence only audiences, the content, guidance and policies are specifically tailored to the Defence community.
The content of this day aims to provide ‘Trained Shot’ or Practitioner level Social Media training. Attendees will increase their confidence, competence and effectiveness using Social Media to deliver communications and engagement; both stand-alone and as part of wider campaigns.
Aimed at individuals who have some Social Media experience. This course introduces the skills and techniques to enable you to build your understanding, confidence and competence across a range of Social Media platforms.

- Different use cases and ‘personas’; personal and/or professional
- Managing multiple Social Networks and Accounts
- Organically growing your Social Network and Reach
- Using analytics to gain insights and improve usage
- Improved Content design and discovery
- Introduction message development, use of story structures and Social Media campaign planning.
- Introduction to Social Media tools
