There are no prerequisites for this course, and the content and delivery will be contextualised to each delivery audience.
This course is specifically designed for individuals in leadership roles within an organisation.
The course focuses on what Senior Leaders need to understand and how they can use Social Media within the specific context of their personal and organisational objectives.
This briefing day is delivered in more of a ‘coaching’ style format and is fundamentally a highly compressed and contextualised version of the Social Media Fast Start course.
It covers the different approaches to Social Media use when in a leadership role, and how to integrate into a wider organisational communications strategy.
This course will only be delivered in a closed format with a maximum of 6 attendees.
In addition to a selected content from the Social Media Fast Start course, specific focus is given to the following topics:
- Assessing to what extent, if any, should you have a presence on Social Media?
- What is the value and purpose of Social Media from a Senior Staff perspective?
- Integrating Social Media into your leadership approach
- Creating an authentic Leader’s persona
- Good leadership practices on social media to support your personal and organisational goals
- Balancing personality and position
- When and how to delegate account authority and management
- Being part of and supporting your social media team
This is not going away; it now provides too many strengths and opportunities to be ignored. Our organisation needs to understand the threats and weaknesses to overcome them. Let’s use this and more effectively move with the times.

i3Gen led a well-received and comprehensive staff training exercise on Information Operations for the NATO Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) Joint Fires and Influence Branch. The combination of Civilian and Military expertise brought a wider perspective, enabling us to better understand and improve our Information Activities planning.
Paul and Ric are an engaging duo, who quickly grasped the nuances of our charity’s strategy and key messaging. Using this knowledge they were able to grow our Twitter following, and offer advice on how best to engage with these individuals.
Solid practical skills training delivered by trainers who have a depth of knowledge and experience in marketing and communications. As current social media practitioners, they also are fully up to date in this fast-changing discipline, not only in the civilian world but also within the context of Army Engagement & Communications.
Great to get a civilian perspective, presented in a military way, on a difficult subject with no right or wrong way to use. Far more confident!
